1. How do I apply to become a Juno affiliate?
To apply to join the Juno Affiliate Program, all you have to do is to fill in the form and we will get back to you with a sign-up pack.

2. How long will it take to get approval?
Once we have received your application, approval should take no more than a few days.

3. Will Juno accept anyone as an affiliate?
We will accept a wide variety of sites into our program. However, we cannot accept applications from sites which contain copyright/trademark infringements, or host otherwise unacceptable content. For more information on eligibility click here.

5. What changes do I have to make to my web site?
Once you have been approved as a Juno affiliate partner, you will not need to make any changes to your site other than placing links, banners, buttons, audio clips, players etc on your site. The reason for this is that Juno's affiliate system works through referrals i.e. any traffic that comes directly from your site to ours will be tagged and earn you affiliate revenue if they make a purchase. In fact, even if they do not make a purchase straight away, but come back and buy something a week later, you will still earn money from the referral.

6. How can I earn affiliate revenue from my blogs, e-mail newsletters and other resources which are not hosted on my web site?
When linking to Juno from places other than your site e.g. an e-mail newsletter, you will need to add a small piece of code on to the end of the link, so we recognise you as the referrer. So, for example, when Resident Advisor links to us from an e-mail newsletter, they put ?ref=ra on the end of the link address. If they were linking do the Juno Download DJ charts page, the link would be:
http://www.junodownload.com/all/top_dj_charts/?ref=ra
You will be given your own ref code when your account is approved.

7. Where should I link from on my site, and to which pages on your site?
To maximise sales, follow these rules:

Remember - the greater the relevance between your link and the Juno page you link to, the more likely the user is to make a purchase.

8. I have a different idea of how we could work together.
Right now we only offer the standard affiliation scheme, but if you have another idea, please contact us at affiliate@juno.co.uk

9. Where can I check my sales and commission?
Once you have been approved for an affiliate account, you will be give a username and password (which you can change if you wish). You will then be able to log into http://affiliate.juno.co.uk/ where you can also track your current sales performance, account balance and get access to all of the latest buttons, banners, links and marketing material to help your integration work.

10. How do I get promoted to a higher partner level?
If, in any month, you earn enough commission to qualify for a higher partner level, you will be automatically promoted to that level and earn commission at the new rate for that period. Conversely, if you fail to earn enough to keep you in your current level, your partner level will be automatically reduced.

11. If I refer a customer to Juno and they purchase several times, do I get a commission on each sale?
Yes. Unlike many other affiliate programs, Juno pays a commission on all sales made by newly referred customers for up to 4 weeks. The entry level commission period is 14 days, but this can go as high as 28 days as your sales increase. This means that you will get a percentage between 5% and 10% of every sale made by the customer during this time.

12. If I refer a customer to Juno and they don't buy anything right away, what happens if they come back and purchase something tomorrow? Will I get a commission on the sale?
Yes. The moment that you refer a customer to us, we will give them a tracking cookie and if they buy anything within the commission period (14 to 28 days depending on your current affiliate level), you will get paid a commission on every order the customer makes.

13. What happens if I refer a new customer, they do not buy anything straight away, but then come back to the site via another Juno affiliate partner's web site?
In this case, you, as the first referrer of the customer would receive all of the relevant affiliate revenue. So, once a customer has been marked as 'your referral' no-one else will be able to earn revenue from that customer.

14. What happens if the user clears their tracking cookies?
The Juno Affiliate program tracks customers with both cookies and IP addresses, so in the rare case where a customer clears their cookies during the commission period, we can often still track the customer by their IP address. In our experience, completely losing track of a customer happens on less than 1% of transactions.

15. How will I get paid?
To become a Juno Affiliate, you need to have a working PayPal account. Commissions will be calculated on a quarterly basis (every 3 months starting from the beginning of the year) and if you have earned more than 50 UK Pounds, your PayPal account will be credited.

16. How much can I earn?
We do not limit affiliate earnings in any way, so the more customer referrals you make to us, the more commission you will earn. There are also increased benefits for higher earners, e.g. free downloads and discounts on purchases from Juno.

17. How are commissions calculated for regular transactions and recurring transactions?
Commissions for regular and recurring transactions are calculated in exactly the same way, i.e. if a customer has been referred by an affiliate, a percentage of the sale value is given to the affiliate partner at the commission rate defined by their partner level.

18. When I earn a commission, how soon will it be reflected in my account?
Commissions will appear in your account on http://affiliate.juno.co.uk immediately.

19. Under what circumstances might a commission not be paid for a referral?
There are only a few situations in which you will not earn commission on a sale:

  • i) where payment cannot be secured for the order e.g. the customer's card cannot be charged
  • ii) where an order turns out to be fraudulent or is charged back by the bank or card issuer
  • iii) where the customer has already been referred by another affiliate or the commission period has expired.

20. Can I earn commissions on my own purchases?
Yes. The amount that you will earn from your own purchases is defined by the commission rate and commission period of your partner level.
